Just wanted to wish everyone a happy GIS day!

Someone in my office suggested we celebrate by taking everyone's Manifold projects offline so that they couldn't use them.... that way they would realize just how much they're relied upon every hour of the work day.... not everyone agreed with this idea..... so instead we're celebrating with some cookies!

Cheers!

First I've heard of GIS day, and I've missed it in this time zone.

I did some manifold demos here

http://www.mannlib.cornell.edu/services/reference/GIS/gisday2008.cfm

which were very well received, and showed of some IMS sites and the work I've been doing with the WMS

and google maps. Fun day!

Hmm,

according to my calendar this Sunday is "Bonifacio Day" in the Philippines.

Thank you Admiral Dufty. I had almost forgotten. How sad that General Bonifacio was stabbed in the back, betrayed, by emilio.aquinaldo. While I shall say no bad word toward the original aquinaldo, our emilio is himself a coward, choosing hit-and-run techniques within this blog. He is devoid of substance, and belongs in a wasteland concentration camp blog like spatiallyadjusted where he may spew his irrelevant comments.

Unfortunately, Junior, I died in 1917. I would not be much use in throwing a ball around. That being said, didn't your mother ever tell you "not to feed trolls" - maybe I should have been around more afterall.

Thank you for remembering me.
