All posts - How to get Manifold ActiveX Control? Into VS?
I have manifold on my system. I can use the Ext.dll Manifold.Interop approach in a Windows Forms application. But, I probably should use the ActiveX control. But, I don't know how to get it into my toolbox. When I look in my Manifold System directory I don't see any obvious file that would be an ActiveX control It's been awhile since I've used VS as well, so there could be something fundamental I'm missing. But, I'd expect it to show up in my Object Browser. Help?

also, while we're at it, could someone remind me if its possible to externally script manifold without having to use VS?

If you look to the manifold help, there's an example (vb.net) explaining the steps required to do this, using or not visual studio (which i recommend using ). Regards.

care to enlighten us where it is?

Chris, what is it that you are trying to do? Do you want to just simply use VBScript and the: CreateObject("Manifold.Application") statement
exactly, i tried just the small sample here, http://forum.manifold.net/forum/t63341.10 and i just get a blank CScript.exe screen...
thats odd. I write these all the time. I'll try to email you something to test out.

cool that would be great. basically i'd like to schedule jobs on different map files, (refresh tables or changes queries, etc), i think it'll be real handy for maintaining maps for ims-

Thanks All! I rebooted my computer (over the weekend) and, lo and behold, the Manifold ActiveX Object showed up in the ToolBox. Who knows what was going on! Anyway, thanks! Ken
