Just a quick heads-up (more to follow in the coming days):

The East Coast Manifold User Group Meeting will be held on May 29,30 at Salisbury University in Salisbury Maryland.

The first day will focus on presentations, while the second day will hopefully focus on a Manifold technical briefing (NDA required). For one of the evenings, I'm trying to see if there will be a rocket launch at Wallops Island that we can watch, or a sail on a Skipjack (that would probably cost around $35).

Here are some quick questions I have:

1. whoever created gis4everyone.com, would it be possible for us to put the conference materials there?

2. can someone from Manifold let me know their availability for a technical briefing?

Once I get that information, I will put together a page of the details. We'll try to keep the costs as low as possible (mostly to cover room usage fees, etc.), and will try to set up a credit card payment (due to room sizes, we'll try to keep the numbers under 60 people).

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Art,

RE: gis4everyone.com

I believe Ben (bclement) set that up. you should have his e-mail somewhere. If not it's on the WUSMUC website.

Art,

Eandeline is right of course. Drop me a note off-line at information (at) gis4everyone (dot) com and let me know what you need. I will be happy to help however I can.

I would love to go, but alas, budgets may not allow. Now, if there was some training aspect of the sessions, I might be able to spin it as training sessions, for which there is more money :-) Training, anyone?

This conference can be a great opportunity for Manifold users of all levels. As a relative beginner, I'm hoping to learn not only from the experts but also from others at my own skill level. I hope that time will be made for beginners to get together to share hints and challenges. Perhaps we can entice some experts to offer a few impromptu classes on resolving issues that we have in common. Personally, I'd like an overview of how to apply my current programming skills to Manifold scripting. If you are a beginner with similar goals for the conference, please speak up here so Art can plan accordingly. Thanks.
